about

This is a song for my wife: plain & simple. Originally titled "Complimentary Colors" (see track artwork), it's a love song about our relationship. It's rather intimate at times, but I don't mind professing my love for her.

lyrics

V1) There is so much I want to tell you.
I'm glad we called off work today.
I promise I will make it worth it.
We will do all the things you say.
I love spending time just like this.
No plans or chores; adult-free-zone.
We won't do anything we don't like.
And live like children home alone.

CH) Put your trust in me.
I'll put my trust in you.
Love will fill our house,
And guide the things we do. (repeat)
Cause we hold each other's hearts.

V2) With understanding of your wishes,
I do the things that please you most.
Maybe we never leave our mattress,
Such a warm and friendly host.
Start a new country in our bedroom.
No taxes, wars, or "45".
Only the love we share forever.
And Archer reruns till we die.

CH)
