about

Written in the summer of 2017, regarding all of the rain Indiana received, this song could just as easily (if not more so) have been written in the spring/summer of 2019... 'Nuff said!

I tried to paint a picture that had some hopefulness (verse 1 & the bridge) that also touched a few pop-culture references. The irony is that we need rain to survive & our bodies are made of mostly water.

lyrics

V1) All it ever does is rain.
Every day it seems the same.
Condensation from the sky.
Wonder why I even try?

CH) Has anybody seen my sunshine?
Wanna get out and make the day mine.
Has anybody seen my sunshine?
Motivation's dying on the vine.
Has anybody seen my sunshine?
Wanna get out and make the day mine.
Has anybody seen my sunshine?

V2) We should take a road trip!
Give it up and jump ship.
Doesn't matter where we go.
Less tell and more show.
Fresh perspective's what we need.
Follow roads to where they lead.
Wrap my arms around you.
Summer season over-due.

CH)

BG) Get new jobs if we come back.
Drive till we find the love shack.
Boys of Summer on repeat,
While you nap in the backseat.

CH)
